A. orientale (Lam.) Planchon in DC, Monogr. Phan. 5:462 (1887). Syn: Cissus orientalis Lam., Tabl. Encycl. Meth. Bot. 1: 332, t. 84 f. 2 (1791); Vitis orientalis (Lam.) Boiss., Fl. Or. 1: 956 (1867). Map 53, p. 517. Low, trailing or climbing shrub, without tendrils. Leaves 1-2-ternate, or pin-nate; leaflets incised-dentate, glabrous. Flowers 4-merous, green. Berry blue-black when ripe, c. 5 mm diam. Fl 6-8. Rocky limestone places, and in rocky deciduous forest, 50-1800 m.   Described from the Orient. C3 Antalya: Kesme Boğaz nr. Kemer, 60-100 m, D. 14051!
