Stems solitary or few, 20-30(-40) cm,ascending-erect, thick, simple or branched from base, sparingly setulose, especially near inflorescence. Calyx lobes long-lanceolate, 12-15 mm, erect, long ciliate at margin, 2 or 3 x obconical, glabrous ovary. Calyx appendages obsolete, recurved. Corolla cylindrical or cylindrical-infundibular, c. 20 mm, divided to¼ into oblong lobes, glabrous, mauve. Capsule obovoid, splitting from base upwards.
