Caucasia (subsp. hohenackeri). Euxine element. The Turkish material of the very polymorphic and widespread C. sibirica (C. & E. Europe, W. Siberia, C. Asia) belongs to subsp. hohenackeri (Fisch. & Mey.) Damboldt. In the adjacent parts of Transcaucasia and the Caucasus some other closely allied taxa occur which differ only in minor characters and partly represent local races of C. sibirica. The whole group is in need of revision.
