C. armeniacum Gren., Monogr. Cerast. 19, t. 1 (1841). Glandular-pubescent annual. Stems 10-25 cm. Leaves oblong-obovate, pubes-cent.   Inflorescence lax. Bracts herbaceous. Pedicels spreading, fruits somewhat nodding. Sepals lanceolate-acuminate, with scarious margins, 5-7 mm. Petals white, 8-10 mm, claws pilose. Capsule exserted from the calyx. Fl. 5.
