Kavk. ed. 1, 2: 381 (1930). Perennial. Roots tuberous. Stems erect, up to 100 cm, glabrous or sometimes villosulous below, glaucous. Leaves ovate to ovate-oblong, glabrous or puberu-lous. Inflorescence lax. Sepals lanceolate, acuminate, 9-12 mm, margins scarious. Petals white, bifid, 16-20 mm, hairy on the claws. Capsules c. 2 x longer than calyces. Seeds tuberculate. Fl. 6-7.
