Greece, Crimea, Caucasia, N.W. Iran, N. Iraq, W. Syria. Intermediate forms between this species and C. arborescens occur in the Balkans. Turkish records for the latter species should all be referred to C. cilicica (the locality Tekir, from which Browicz records C. arborescens, is in Bulgaria). A record of the Caucasian C. orientalis Miller, from B8 near Muş, also probably belongs here (cf.. Browicz, op. cit.).
