  Clump-forming perennial herb, stems 4-18 cm. Basal leaves linear, oblong-lanceoiate or ± spathulate. alternate at base, with 3-5 small teeth on each side. Stem leaves sessile, oblong-lanceolate, entire. Inflorescence elongating in fruit. Petals 6-11 x 2.5-4 mm spathulate, rounded or subacute at apex, limb gradually narrowed into claw. Fruiting pedicels thin, reflexed, 4-9 mm. Fruit 14-33 x 16-21 mm; septum complete or marginal only, 15-33 x 8-18 mm; style persistent 1-4 ram; seeds 2-10, not mucilaginous.
