Perennial herb or small sub-shrub. Stems 20-50 cm, densely pubescent with patent hairs or sparingly hairy to glabrescent. Leaves with a short rachis, 1-3 mm; leaflets 8-20 x3-10 mm, oblong-obovate, densely pilose; internodes 1-4 cm. Inflorescence 4-10-flowered, peduncles 1-4.5cm. Flowers 9-15 mm, white or pink; pedicels shorter than calyx-tube, 1-2 mm; calyx 8-10 mm, densely pilose, calyx teeth lanceolate-subulate, somewhat longer than tube. Legume 6-10 x 2-4 mm, oblong, beak 4 mm, valves not contorting at maturity. Seeds 2-6. Fl. 4-6. Calcareous slopes and cliffs, dry hills, macchie, Pinus brutia forest, s.l.-900 m. Described from S.
