Others have long flexuous peduncles reminiscent of those of E. latifolius. The species has recently been comprehensively studied by Grosset (Geographical distribution of races of Euonymus europaeus L., s.l, as material for the history of the flora of the Russian plain. Bull. Mosc. Obsch. Isp. Prirod. 70(6): 99-115, 1965). Euro-Sib. element.
