  Glabrous glaucescent perennial. Stem terete, weakly sulcate, with conspicuously swollen nodes at fruiting time, 30-70(-100) cm. Leaves 4-pinnate, ovate to broadly lanceolate in outline, 10-35 x 5-20 cm; lobes finely setaceous to linear-lanceolate, 2-4 mm, glabrous, glaucescent. Inflorescence paniculate-corymbose, rays 6-1O(-15), subequal, 3.5-6(-8)cm, laterals ascending-horizontal; bracts lanceolate, 5-8(-12) mm, acute; fruiting pedicels accrescent, 6-11 mm; bracteoles 3-4 mm, acuminate. Mericarps ovate-elliptic, 10-14 x 5-7 mm, truncate at the base, dorsal ridges narrowly winged-acute, lateral wings 0.5-1.5 mm wide; dorsal and commissural vittae more than 12. Fl, 4-6. Shady and rocky places, 200-1450 m.
