H. lasiochaetum (Bornm. & Zahn) Sell & West in Notes R.B.G. Edinb. 33:431 (1975). Syn: H. pallidum Biv. subsp. lasiochaetum Bornm. & Zahn in Engler, Pflanzenreich 75 (IV.280):220 (1921).   Stems 15-45 cm, with ± numerous, long simple eglandular hairs throughout and few stellate and short glandular hairs above. Leaves slightly glaucous, with numerous, long, ± rigid simple eglandular hairs particularly on margin, midrib and petiole; basal numerous, 30-70(-100) x 10-33 mm, mostly narrowly to broadly elliptic, sometimes lanceolate or ovate, obtuse to acute, usually subentire to denticulate, sometimes with teeth in lower half, cuneate at base to short petiole; cauline 0-2, usually narrow and bract-like, sometimes like basal. Capitula 2-6; peduncles up to 45 mm, with numerous stellate, numerous short glandular and few to numerous long simple eglandular hairs. Involucre 10-13 mm; phyllaries linear-lanceolate, narrow at apex, obtuse to acute, with few stellate hairs, numerous simple eglandular hairs and few to numerous shorter glandular hairs. Ligules glabrous. Styles yellow. Achenes c. 3.5 mm, dark. Fl. 6-7.
