K. integrifolia (L.) Bert., Fl. Ital. 2:32 (1835). Erect annual with pubescent and setose stems, reflexed-setose below, spreading-setose above, 15-60 cm. Lower leaves elliptic to lyrate, entire, dentate or crenate; upper leaves usually pinnatisect with linear to elliptic lobes. Peduncles glandular-hairy or not. Involucral bracts 10-15(-20), ovate to lanceolate, acuminate, pilose and velutinous. Capitula 1·5-3 cm diam., ± radiant, outer flowers with ellipticpetals: corolla lavender-blue, sometimes pinkish. Involucel 5-7 mm, pilose, apex with 2 teeth 0·3-1·5 mm long, and sometimes minute subsidiary ones. Calyx with numerous fine hair-like setae. 1. Longest involucel teeth 0·3-0·8 mm var. integrifolia 1.
