L. dubia Sol. in Aiton, Hort. Kew. 1:199 (1789). lc: Fl. Uz. SSR 5: t. 3 f. 1 (1961). Erect annual, 30-110 cm, glabrous or very sparsely glandular-hairy. Leaves alternate or opposite; petiole_0-25 mm; lamina (20-)40-90(-l 12) x (4-)8-17 (-24) mm, lanceolate or ± spathulate, dotted with reddish glands. Flowers in racemes. Bracts 3-5-7 mm. Pedicels 2-5 mm. Calyx lobes 3-4 x 0-8-1 -2 mm, linear-lanceolate, dotted with reddish glands, margin glandular-ciliate. Corolla pink, glabrous, lobes oblong to spathulate, 5-7 x 1-1-5 mm. Capsule 2-3 mm, glabrous and without dotted glands. Fl. 5-8. Wet places, volcanic soil, in Pinus brutia forest, s.1.-750 m. Described from material originating from the Levant, cultivated at Chelsea Physic Garden, 1759, Miller. Scattered mainly in Outer & E. (southern) Anatolia. A1(E) Edirne: d.
