M. corymbulosa (Boiss. & Bal.) McNeill in Notes R.B.G. Edinb. 24: 149 (1962). Syn: Alsine corymbulosa Boiss. & Bal. in Boiss., Diagn. ser. 2(6): 36 (1859). Like M. anatolica but usually 10-30 cm; glabrous or glaucous to densely papillose-puberulent throughout; inflorescence of a few 5-25-flowered terminal and axillary cymose clusters (occasionally the lowest flower of the terminal cyme solitary and long-pedicelled); sepals 2-3•5 mm, lanceolate to ovate, acute; petals very much shorter to slightly longer than the sepals. 1. Partial inflorescences of (l-)3-10-flowered subspherical clusters terminating the main stems and the long axillary branches; plants glabrous except for the finely ciliate leaves, pruinose stems and finely puberulent pedicels; petals about as long as sepals; plants c. 25 cm var. gypsophiloides 1. Partial inflorescences of 8-25-flowered, densely corymbose clusters terminal and subterminal on the main stem; plants densely papillose-puberulent throughout becoming glandular in the inflorescence, or occasionally part of the stems glabrous 2. Sepals broadly ovate, bluntly acute; petals exceeding sepals var. breviflora 2. Sepals lanceolate, narrowly acute; petals shorter than sepals var. corymbulosa var. corymbulosa.
