Like M. mesogitana but erect, often glandular-pubescent throughout; inflores-cence usually densely glandular-pubescent, pedicels (3-)5-10 mm, always longer than calyx, not spreading widely; sepals 2-5 mm, lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, 3-4(-5) x longer than broad, narrowly acute to acuminate; petals cuneate at base, half to almost as long as sepals; capsule cylindrical to narrowly ovoid, exceeding the calyx in most flowers; seeds 0•3-0•6 mm.
