Leaves greenish, glandular-puberulent, with or without loose indumentum of stellate hairs above, ± densely stellate-tomentose beneath, lower leaves broadly ovate to oblong-lanceolate, cordate at base, crenate, 4-15 x 1.5-7 cm, petiole to 4 cm. Floral leaves oblong to lanceolate, petiolate, to 2 xaslongasverticillasters. Verticillasters l-4,(6-)12-20-flowered. Bracteoles subulate, linear or narrowly lanceolate, 15-22 x 2-4 mm, hispid-viscid. Calyx shortly pedicellate, 18-25 mm, densely hispid-viscid, teeth subulate, 5-8 mm. Corolla yellow, 25-35 mm. Nutlets glabrous. Fl. 5-7. Rocky slopes, schistose hillsides, Quercus scrub, 300-1440 m. Described from material cultivated at the Jardin des Plantes, Paris (holo. P-Lam., photo). Mainly S. Anatolia.
