Crimea, Caucasia, N.W. Iran (Kurdistan); Latakia? Euxine element? The commonest Polygonatum in Turkey, showing considerable variation in leaf shape and in density of indumentum on the lower leaf surface. Most specimens from the Amanus differ from the others in having the hairs on the lower leaf surface adpressed to the veins (not spreading) and in the glabrous (not pruinose) intercostal areas. Sorger 73-21-60 (C6 Adana: Nur Da. S.E. of Yarpuz, 1300 m!) is puberulent, however, as in the typical form.
