Baytop (ISTE 4795)! Endemic. Ir.-Tur. element. Closest to S. huberi (q.v.); also allied to the geographically distant S. pisidica, but with generally larger green leaf segments, more verticillasters in the inflorescence and usually strongly violet-coloured calyces. An incomplete specimen from C1O (Hakkari, above Ziri, S. of Cilo Da., 2130 m, Trelawny 1819!) probably represents a new species related to S. rosifolia; it differs in the larger broader terminal leaf segments and in having only one pair of lateral segments. More material of it is needed. |
