  Annual divaricately branched herb, 10-20 cm, with a dense indumentum of long glandular hairs covering the entire plant except for the lower leaves. Leaves oblong or linear, shortly petiolate. Inflorescence loose, many-flowered. Pedicels erect-spreading, longer, rarely shorter, than calyces. Calyx 9-11 mm, narrowly cylindrical with very short acute teeth, thickly covered with long, capitate glandular hairs. Petals pink or rose, c. 13 mm, with an obovate lamina deeply divided into 3 (or 5) linear-triangular lobes. Capsule oblong, slightly longer than calyx. Fl. 5-7. Rocky slopes, fallow fields, c. 1000 m.
