T. cappadocicum (Boiss. & Bal.) Bornm. in Feddes Rep. Beih. 79: 70 (1936). Annual or biennial, ± glaucous, up to 50 cm. with stems simple or branched in the region of the inflorescence. Basal leaves petiolate, oblong, not rosette-forming. Cauline leaves oblong, amplexicaul. Petals white, 4-5 x 1-1.5 mm. In-florescence tightly corymbose, elongating in fruit. Fruiting pedicels horizontally spreading, 5-10 mm. Siliculae narrowly obtriangular, 6-10x2.5-3 mm; style 1-1.5 mm, longer than horns; septum (4-)6-10 x 1.2 mm. Seeds finely papillose, 1-3 in each loculus. Fl. 5. Stony slopes and woods, 800-1960 m. Type: (Hatay or Latakia) in regionis inferioribus Cassii (Akra Da.) inter Cassab et Suadieh (Suveydiye), Boissier (K!). Cappadocia, Galatia, Upper Euphrates & Amanus. A specimen col-lected by Huber-Morath (no. 16241, Seyhan: Yağlipinar, 1350 m), which differs from T. oxyceras in the larger fruits (10-12 x 4-5 mm) fleshy leaves and thicker stems, may represent a new taxon.
