B. brachyactis (Post) Wolff in Engler, Pfianzenreich 90 (IV. 228): 196 (1927). Syn: Canım brachyactis Post in J. Linn. Soc. (Bot.) 24:428 (1888); Bunlum rhodocephalum Hand.-Mazz. in Ann. Nat. Hofmus. Wien 27:50 (1913). Ic: Ark. Bot. ser. 2, 5: f. 34(1959).
Glabrous perennial with slender branched procumbent or ascending terete finely ridged stems up to 15 cm. Basal leaves ovate, 1-2-pinnate, 5-8 x 2.5-3.5 cm; ultimate segments ovate with oblong-spathulate rounded lobes, 7-17 x 10 mm. Upper cauline leaves few with linear lobes. Rays 4-8, equal, 3-10 mm. Bracts 3-6, 2-7 x 0.5-1 mm. Bracteoles 3-6,2-3.5 x 0.5 mm. Flowers white, 8-15 per umbellule. Fruits oblong, glabrous, c. 3x1.5 mm; styles 2-3 mm; stylopodium flat. Fl. 7. 1830-3150 m.

Endemic. A seldom-collected species recognized by the short rays and the oblong-spathulate leaf lobes. It is clearly related to the previous species but from the specimens examined appears to be distinct.
