Papillate or hairy perennial to 35 cm. Basal leaves 20-35 cm, (3-)4(-5)-pinnate; segments 3-4-paired; lobes (5-) 10-25 x 1.5-2 mm. Bracts and bracteoles usually caducous. Rays of fruiting umbels 12-16. Sepals obsolete. Petals whitish, glabrous. Fruit broadly ellipsoid to globose, 12-20 x 10-15 mm; wings 3-4 mm wide, slightly undulate, margin sometimes crenate. Fl. 5-6. Rocky, often calcareous slopes, 1000-1900 m. Type: [Turkey C7 Diyarbakır] in monte Karadaja Dagh prope Diarbekir Mesopotamiae, Kotschy 197 (iso. E!). S. & E. Anatolia.
