Kl. 51:373 (1886). Ic: Fl. URSS 16: t. 10 f. 1 (1950). Much branched ± glabrous, softly pilose, hispid or sparsely asperous plant, 10-20(-35) cm. Leaves ovate-triangular, 2-3-pinnate or pinnatisect, 3-8 x2-5 cm, ultimate lobes linear-lanceolate to filiform, 3-10 x up to 1 mm. Rays (3-)4-9, equal or not, 1.5-7 cm, occasionally one bearing a secondary umbel. Bracteoles 4-5, narrow-oblong to oblong, entire or coarsely 2(-3)-fid from apex, ± reflexed, ciliate, usually with membranous margins and centre, 2-5 x 1-2 mm. Pedicels 10-many, several usually sterile, c. 4-5 mm, ± equal. Outer petals clearly radiant, 2-10 mm. Fruit glabrous to densely strigose, 2.5-5.5 cm x 1 .5-2 mm; beak always ciliate, dorsally compressed, longer than fertile portion. Fl. 4-7.
