Euro-Sib, element. Variable in leaf shape and dissection. Plants from S.E. Turkey usually have leaves oblong in outline and with narrower lobes to the ultimate segments than those from the north of the country. Some specimens from Hakkari haveviolet petals, at least in bud, and correspond with Libanotis transcaucasica Schischkin; but, as with the plants possessing narrower leaves, they seem to be merely local variants of a very variable species. |
