T. scabra Boiss. & Noe in Boiss., Diagn. ser. 2(2): 73 (1856). Figure 7, p. 277. Erect biennial with much branched, puberulous or glabrous ridged stems 15-45 cm. Leaves 2-pinnate, ultimate segments ovate, usually deeply divided into 2-20 mm linear lobes, margins and veins usually scabrid, petioles with broad membranous wings. Rays 4-10, unequal, 0.3-1.5 cm (-5 cm on female plants). Bracts 0-1. Bracteoles 1-3, ± linear, unequal, up to c. 2 mm. Pedicels 0-10(-15) mm, unequal on female plants, ± equal on male. Flowers occasionally monoecious. Fruit 3 x 2.5 mm, glabrous or scabrid. Fl. 5-7. Rocky slopes,pastures, 1000-2800 m. Type: [Turkey B6 Sivas] in montanis circa Sivas, vi 1851, Noe. Inner Anatolia. Schischkin, recorded in Grossh., Fl. Kavk. 7: t. 75 (1967) from Turkey A8 Erzurum and A9 Kars. It differs from T. scabra in having no bracteoles and no indumentum. No specimens from Turkey have been seen. |
