A less variable species in Turkey than in Europe. The species requires revision throughout its very considerable range, and I prefer not to use subspecific designation for the Anatolian plants although they agree with the European subsp. ritro. Closest to E. microcephalus but without glandular tubercles and usually with a clearly longer brush. |
