Similar to E. uniflorus but indumentum of peduncles contains some glandular hairs in addition to spreading hirsute and smaller weak adpressed hairs. The capitula appear to be consistently larger with involucres 1.5-1 .8 cm broad. Fl. 9. On black calcareous ('calcare nigro') slopes, 2900 m.
