Ararat (B10 Ağri: Ağri Da., 2745 m, B.Post 1910:2118!) may be of a high mountain form parallel with the group mentioned above. The plants are densely grey-lanate-tomentose, with narrowly linear leaves and short stems ± ascending from a much-branched woody base; the corymbs have few (3-11) capitula. Several specimens from Bolu are unusually densely lanate, and appear to approach H. graveolens which is also recorded from this area.
