P. x sintenisii (Freyn) Sojak in Folia Geobot. & Phytotax. 6:219 (1971). (P. piloselloides x verruculata). Syn: Hieracium sintenisii Freyn in Öst. Bot. Zahn in Engler, Pflanzen-reich 82 (IV.280):1529 (1923), nom. superfl. illegit. pro H. sintenisii Freyn; H. incaniforme Litw. & Zahn in Feddes Rep. 3:193 (1907). Plants with glaucous, but stellately hairy leaves, yellowish-brown glandular hairs and simple eglandular hairs on the involucre, and small capitula are obviously this hybrid. Other plants, including some from the same locality, are much nearer P. verruculata in appearance, but have numerous simple hairs on the involucre and only a few yellowish-brown glandular hairs. They may be back-crosses to P. verruculata or triple hybrids including P. echioides. Fl. 7-8. Alt. 1180-2300 m.
