S. inaequiscapa Boiss., Fl. Or. 3:762 (1875).
Subscapigerous perennial, 12-20 cm; rootstock swollen, tuberous. Leaves entire, 4-13 x 0.5-1.4 cm; lamina lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, contracted below into a short petiole but expanding again into an amplexicaul base, sparsely crisped-pubescent. Capitula 1 per stem, 18-25 mm long. Inner phyllaries c. 20 mm, glabrous to crisped-pubescent. Flowers pale yellow. Achenes c. 7 x 1 mm, cylindrical, ridged, transversely rugulose-tuberculate, glabrous; pappus dirty white, hairs plumose below, barbellate above. Fl. 6. Fallow clay fields.

An endemic species of uncertain affinity. The Yozgat plant has narrower leaves and more hairy phyllaries than the type.
