| T. androssovii Schischkin in Fl. Turkm. 7:384 (1960). Syn: T. spinulosum van Soest subsp. calocephaloides van Soest in Acta Bot. Neerl. 9:312 (1960). Leaves lobate; side lobes dentate, acute; interlobes sublobate and dentate; terminal lobe elongate-hastate or sagittate, subacute. Scapes woolly. Involucre rather big and broad; outer phyllaries ovate, recurved at apex, margin broad,greenish. Ligules deep yellow; stigmas (in dried condition) blackish. Achenes reddish, c. 4.5 mm (incl. 1 mm cone); beak c. 9 mm; pappus white, 6-7 mm. 2 n= 24. Fl. 3-6. Alt. 1300-2300 m. Type: [Turkmenia] Aschabad, 24 iii 1932, H.Androssov (holo. LE!). Inner Anatolia, rare. A4 Ankara: N. of Kizilcahamam, 1300 m, Sorger 71-3-12! A9 Kars: Sarikamiş, Walther 9300! B8 Erzurum: Palandöken Da., 2050 m, Walther 9264 (2n = 24)! ibid., 2300 m, Walther 9378 (2n = 24)! Iran, S. Transcaspia. A gathering from B9 Van (N. side of Erk Da., above Değirmenköy, 2300 m, D. 44471!) has broader phyllaries than the type and fulvous instead of reddish dark brown achenes; it might represent a new species. |
