T. decipiens (Fisch. & Mey.) Bornm. in Feddes Rep. 49:240 (1940). Syn: Pyrethrum decipiens Fisch. & Mey. in Ind. Sem. Horti Petrop. 2:48 (1835); Chamaemelum decipiens (Fisch. & Mey.) Boiss., Fl. Or. 3:328 (1875)!. Figure 8, p. 179. Biennial, 10-90 cm. Stems 1 to many, sometimes decumbent, usually erect or ascending, corymbosely branched above. Leaves 1-2-pinnatisect; laciniae fili-form-setaceous or lanceolate-aristate. Capitula numerous, usually disciform (outer female with suppressed ligules), rarely discoid, 4-9 mm broad, laxly corymbose, borne on long, unequal peduncles. Phyllaries lanceolate or oblanceo-late, margins white, membranous. Receptacle ovoid. Corolla lobes usually glandular at tips, rarely eglandular. Achenes obpyramidal, 1-1.5 x 0.3-0.7 mm, non-mucilaginous, both surfaces rugose, posteriorly 3-ribbed, ribs thin, acute, white; corona very short, marginiform, lobulate. Fl. 5-8. Steppe, rocky slopes, cultivated and fallow fields, etc., 700-2350 m. Type: [Azerbaijan] in Persiae borealis provincia Aderbeidschan, nec non in Natolia. N.W. Turkey, Inner & S. Anatolia.
