Perennial, 16-35 cm. Sparsely to moderately white pubescent. Stems solitary from rhizome, branched or unbranched above. Leaves 2-3-pinnatisect; laciniae linear-lanceolate, acute or mucronate. Capitula radiate, 0.8-1.4 cm (excl. ligules),triangular-acute or subacute, sparsely pubescent, inner oblong-obtuse or sub-obtuse, glabrous, all with white or pale brown membranous margins. Receptacle ovoid. Ligules 5-10 mm; corolla lobes of disc flowers eglandular at tips. Achenes obpyramidal or angular, 2-2.2 x 0.8-1 mm, non-mucilaginous, anteriorly tubercu-late-rugulose, posteriorly 3-ribbed, ribs moderately thickened, white, fissures narrow; corona marginiform, 1/8-1/6 as long as achene, crenulate, white. Fl. 7-8. Alt. 1500-2400 m.

Endemic. Allied to T. repens from which it is distinguished by having smaller capitula, shorter phyllaries, ovoid receptacle and eglandular disc corolla lobes.
