Leaves imparipinnate, long-petioled. Leaflets opposite or in whorls of 3 or 4, sessile, cuneate-oblong to cuneate-obovate; apex usually deeply 2-3(-5)-lobed, and with reddish blotches at the base. Inflorescence much branched, lax» branches and the long pedicels ascending. Sepals 3-6, caducous, reddish. Petals yellow. Pod ovate-elliptic, scarious, inflated and grooved, rupturing irregularly at the tip. Fl. 4-5. Fallow fields, 650-1170 m. Described from Greek cornfields. Scattered, mainly in E. Anatolia; Islands.
