URSS 19: t. 22 f. 1 (1953). Figure 9, p. 245. Dwarf much-branched annual, to 12 cm. Leaves linear to narrowly oblanceo-late, subadpressed-setulose. Flowers subsessile, pedicels c. 1 mm in fruit. Calyx lobes erecto-patent and to 6 mm in fruit. Corolla tube 2.5 mm, limb cup-shaped, 0.8-1 mm diam. Nutlets whitish, triangular-ovoid, appearing immarginate, margins meeting along ventral crest (disc absent), tuberculate-spiny, and muricate tubercles confluent at base into ridges, largest projections with ± spinulose tips but lacking true glochids.
