O. chlorotrichum Boiss. & Noë in Boiss., Diagn. ser. 2(3): 137 (1856). Ic: Rech. fil., Fl. Iranica - Boraginaceae: t. 35 f. 2 (1967). Perennial. Stem single, 35 cm, patent-setose. Leaves with reticulate venation, clothed with adpressed setae on irregularly hairy tubercles above, velutinous beneath; basal to 15x2 cm, linear-oblanceolate, shortly petiolate, widest above middle, subacute, gradually tapering to base; cauline ± linear, much smaller than basal. Inflorescence dense, cymes scorpioid. Calyx distinctly pedicellate, to 12 mm in flower, covered with intensely yellow setae. Corolla pale yellowish, 16-18 mm, campanulate to clavate-campanulate, scarcely hairy. Anthers ± equalling filaments. Nutlets unknown. Fl. 6. Type: [Turkey B9 Van?J in Kurdistania inter Van et Ichsri, Noë [1 62] (holo. G, photo!). N. Iraq, W. Iran; known in Turkey only from the type gathering. Ir.-Tur. element. |
