O. neglectum H. Riedl in Öst. Bot. Zeitschr. 109:232, t. 5 (1962). Perennial. Stem branched, 15-40 cm, patent-setose, setae arising from small
tubercles. Leaves 25-45 x 5-8 mm, lanceolate, acute or rarely obtuse, covered with rigid patent setae on large tubercles; basal petiolate, cauline sessile. Inflorescence sometimes branched; cymes many-flowered (to 30). Bracts very small. Pedicels 2-4 mm in fruit. Calyx 11-13 mm in fruit, cleft to f, lobes lanceolate, densely patent- to subadpressed-setose, base becoming angulate and warty. Corolla cream, 8-9 mm, cylindrical, glabrous; lobes erect. Sterile tips of anthers exserted. Nutlets 3.5x2.75 mm, ovoid, with indistinct ventral keel and short obtuse compressed beak, chestnut-brown. Fl. 7{-9?). Alt. 1500-2135 m.
