E. macrostigma Boiss. in Ann. Sci. Nat. 17: 81 (1842). Perennial herb. Stems up to 35 cm, somewhat winged, with a sparse indumentum of bifid hairs. Leaves narrowly spathulate, green, with both 2-fid and a few 3-fid hairs, the main vein somewhat prominent and whitish beneath. Sepals saccate, 7-8 mm. Petals pale yellow to yellow, 12-14 mm. Siliquae somewhat compressed, spreading, canescent with bifid hairs, up to 25 mm. Style 2-3 mm, glabrous. Stigma bifid, the lobes widely spreading. Fl. 8. Slopes near snow, 2350-3500 m.
