H. armena Boiss. in Ann. Sci. Nat. 17: 66 (1842). Perennial herb. Stems erect, up to 20 cm, canescent with long and short
furcate-stellate eglandular hairs. Leaves oblanceolate to very narrowly elliptic, entire, canescent with long and short furcate-stellate hairs. Flowers all bracteate. Sepals saccate, c. 10 mm. Petals lilac, c. 17 mm. Siliquae unknown. Type: [Turkey B7 Erzincan] Olympus Armenus (Keşiş Da.), Aucher 123 (E! K!). Scattered. A9 Çoruh: Ardanuç, Woronow 586. B10 Kars: d. iğdir, between Taschliczaj (Taşlıca) & Karakillisse, Schischkinl C2 Denizli: Cadmus (Honaz Da.), 1842, Boiss.! Transcaucasia. Probably more widespread than the above records would suggest, but many of the published records for the species cannot be accepted, as it has been confused with H. buschiana. |
