Perennial up to 1 m, stoloniferous, flowering stems single, much branched in region of the dense paniculate inflorescence, glabrous or rarely pubescent. Basal leaves long-petiolate, simple, ovate-lanceolate, toothed at margins, glabrous or velutinous with stellate hairs (var. velutina). Cauline leaves lanceolate sessile. Petals white or pale pink, 2.5-3 * 1.5 mm, obovate-orbicular, distinctly clawed. Fruiting pedicels slender, 3-5 mm. Siliculae orbicular to obovate, 1.5-2 * 1-2 mm without apical sinus. Stigma capitate, sessile. Fl. 5-7. Marshy places, edge of cultivation, s.1.-1500 m. Described from Europe (Hb. Linn. 824/1 la!). Widespread. A1(A) Çanakkale: Renkoi (Erenköy), Kirk!
