T. tatianae Bordz. in Bull. Jard. Bot. Kiev 12-13: 114, t. 1 f. 21 (1931). [1:341]. (Sect. Pterotropis DC). Syn: Carpoceras brevistylum N. Busch in Bot. Zhurn. 20:82 (1935); C. tatianae (Bordz.) Grossh., Opred. Rast. Kavk. 378 (1948). Ic: Fl. URSS 8: t. 32 f. 1 (1939), as C. brevistylum.
Glaucous, entirely glabrous biennial(?). Stem solitary, simple, to 29-35 cm in fruit. Radical leaves ovate or oblong-ovate, entire or with few teeth, obtuse, attenuate into petiole. Cauline leaves elongate-ovate or elliptic-ovate, entire, rather obtuse, sessile, auriculate-amplexicaul, with short, ovate, obtuse auricles. Sepalswhite-margined, c. 2 mm. Petals white, obovate, c. 4 x 2.5 mm. Fruiting raceme rather dense, simple or sometimes branched at base, 6.5-9.5 cm. Fruiting pedicels horizontal, lower ones 5.5-8 mm, upper 3-5 mm. Siliculae narrowly winged, lower ones 8.5-9 mm, upper 6-7 x 3-4 mm, oblong from cuneate base, emarginate at apex, apical sinus narrow, deep, ovate or suborbicular; wings narrow, forming ± obtuse lobes at apex, subincurved at notch. Loculi 6-seeded. Style short, c. 0.5 mm, 1/2-1/3 x sinus. Seeds smooth, reddish, c. 1.5 mm. Fl. 5-6. Marshy mountain meadows, c. 2000 m.
Syntypes: [U.S.S.R., Transcaucasia] in Armenia boreali in herbidis subalpinis jugorum Pambak et Schahch-Dagh. Distr. Lori-Bambak, in prato subalpino in decliviis montis Majmekh, 2135 m, 14 viii 1926 (fructus fere omnes aperti). Distr. Nor-Bajazet. In ora orientali lacus Gokczae (Sewan), Gjunej dicta, prope Babadzhan-dara in prato sylvatico in faucibus Tarssa, 2075-2200 m, 6 vii 1928 (fructus maturi), Schelkownikow & Kara-Murza (LE?).
