T. valerianoides Rech. fil. in Phyton 3:51 (1951). Iα: Symb. Bot. Ups. 11(5): 11, f. 4(1952). Perennial, with woody rootstock and short spreading sterile shoots, flowering shoots 4-6 cm high. Basal leaves oblong-lanceolate, subentire or crenulate, rosette-forming. Cauline leaves ± densely covering stem, oblong, sessile, shortly auriculate. Petals 5-8 mm, rose. Inflorescence capitate-corymbose, elongating slightly in fruit. Siliculae slightly compressed, oblong-cuneate at base - mature fruits unknown. Fl. 5-6. High alpine, c. 2900 m. Type: [Turkey B9 Siirt] Müküş, Pass Aghzi Gedih, 13 km nördlich von Müküş, Nordhang, 2900 m, 24 vi 1939, Frödin 238a (holo. UPS! iso. W!). Endemic; Ir.-Tur. element. Only known from the type gathering. Apparently a distinct species, allied to the Caucasian T. pumilum Stev. and less closely to T. kurdicum. |
