D. masmenaeus Boiss., Diagn. ser. 2(5): 51 (1856). Perennial up to 30 cm. Leaves linear-oblong, 30 x 1.5-3.5 mm, shortly acuminate, margins thick. Flowers 3-7 together, pedicels not more than 3 mm. Bracteoles ovate with long setaceous points, more than½ the calyx length. Calyx glabrous or pubescent, 10-15 x 2-3.5 mm, cylindrical; teeth 3.7 mm, acuminate. Petal limb c. 4 mm, pink, barbulate, dentate. Fl. 5-8. Turf, stony slopes, 1220-3000 m. 1. Calyx pubescent var. masmenaeus 1. Calyx glabrous var. glabrescens var. glabrescens Boiss.. Fl.
