Leaves 2-7 cm x 0.5-3 mm, linear, apex long-acuminate to shortly acute. Sterile shoot leaves often absent at flowering. Flowers usually solitary, if stems branched then pedicels at least 2 cm. Bracteoles 4-14, if fewer than 8 then either the outer or the inner longer, or all ± equal, if more than 8, becoming progressively smaller outwards. Inner bracteole apices acute or acuminate to apiculate, aristate or muc-ronate, rarely cuspidate, the points up to 3(-7) mm. Calyx 17-21(-24) x 2.5-3.5 mm; teeth 6-9(-l 1) mm; calyx broadest in the lower part, narrowed, often conspicuously towards the apex. Petal limb pink, fimbriate, barbulate, claw exserted. Fl. 6-9. Specimens with 10 or more bracteoles approach D. sinaicus Boiss., and are concentrated (though by no means exclusively) in the Amanus. |
