Caespitose perennial, the flowering stems 7-25 cm, shortly crisped-pubescent, often viscid above. Basal leaves linear to linear-oblanceolate, 20 mm at most. Cauline leaves few, distant and reduced. Inflorescence racemose, the branches terminating in single flowers or subcapitate clusters, occasionally reduced and dichasial. Calyx 4-7 mm, ± obconical, glabrous. Petals pink or white, the limb bipartite into oblong-linear lobes. Anthophore 1-3 mm. Capsule included in the calyx. Fl. 5-7. Screes, cliffs, 1800-4000 m. Described from the Orient.
