Ascending perennial with creeping caudiculi; flowering stems 15 cm or more, papillose above. Leaves linear to oblong-spathulate, semi-terete, 10-14 mm, spurred, alternate. Inflorescence a dense, 5-11-flowered subcorymbose cyme. Flowers 5-merous, shortly pedicellate; sepals broadly lanceolate, acute, c. 5 mm; petals violet-purple with darker longitudinal striae, c. 10 mm; stamens 10; follicles glabrous.
