Leaves of the ultimate branchlets 0.5-1 mm, rhomboid, obtuse, with a dorsal elliptic, depressed gland. Male cones up to 7 x 1.5-2 mm, composed of 10-15 scales. Ripe female cone 2-3 x 2-2.5 cm, the scales brownish-grey, irregular. Slopes, limestone rocks, 300-1200 m. Described from Crete (Hb. Linn. 1137/1 photo.!). Taurus; Islands.
