Plants referable to var. lineari/olius Choisy occur in W. and S. Anatolia (e.g. A1(E A) Çanakkale: Dardanelles, Sint. 18X3:169! C6 Gaziantep: E. side of Fevzipaşa pass. Herrn 21a!). However, intermediates between this variety and typical C. arvensisis are scattered throughout the range of the species, and there appear to be no grounds for maintaining the variety as distinct in Turkey. C. fischerianus appears to be synonymous with var. linearifolius. C. loiigipedicel-Iatus is a pubescent broad-leaved form and intermediates between this and narrow-leaved glabrous forms are widespread. |
