Outer sepals pubescent, oblong, acute to acuminate. Corolla 30-45 mm. Ovary hairy. 1. Leaves moderately pubescent, cauline hastate, lobes sometimes dentate, ovate to narrowly ovate, apex acute or acuminate; flowers pink or white, rarely yellow, 1-3 per peduncle subsp. betonicifolius 1. Leaves densely pubescent, cauline cordate-sagittate, ovate-oblong, apex obtuse or mucronate; flowers white or yellow, (l-)4-5(-8) per peduncle subsp. peduncularis subsp. peduncularis ( Boiss.)
