A. ajubensis Bunge, Astrag. Geront. 2:61 (1869). Syn: A. durhamii Turrill in Kew Bull. 294 (1922)! Tall erect caulescent perennial; stems glabrous. Leaves c. 17 cm; leaflets elliptic to oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, glabrescent; stipules c. 27 mm, lanceolate, white-pilose. Peduncles c. 5•5 cm. Inflorescence globose, with 30-50 sessile flowers. Bracts c. 10 mm, linear-lanceolate, ciliate. Bracteoles absent. Calyx c. 18 mm, tubular, long-pilose; teeth c. 10 mm, linear. Corolla deep yellow; standard c. 22 mm. Ovary densely white-hairy. Type: [W. Iran] in glareosis m. Kuh-Ajub prope ruinas Persepolis, 20 v 1842, Kotschy 405 {ho. K!). Turkey-in-Europe. A1(E) Çanakkale: Gallipoli (Gelibolu), Durham 11 (type of A. durhamii)!
